Accommodation: You will have your own bedroom in one of the apartments at La Giraudiere, unless you indicated that you wished to share. Every effort is made to ensure that the accommodation is separate so that males and females are in different apartments. Each apartment has a shower and wash room independent from the other apartments. The apartments are clean, bright, comfortable and well equipped.

Linens & Towels: Once a week the bed linens are changed. Towels and sheets are provided.

Meals: All meals are included for the days that you are at La Giraudiere.
Breakfast: Cereals, fruit, toast, yoghurt, coffee, tea and juice.
Lunch: Alfresco - salads, meats, cheese, pizza, pasta and quiche (but can vary).
Dinner: Monday to Friday everyone takes a turn to provide variety. During a 3 week stay you may have to cook 2 or 3 times, but don't worry! It's always a joint effort with plenty of help being provided! The weekends are yours do as you . Some volunteers may take off for the weekend or some may try the local restaurants.

Long weekends: Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday are your days off and ideal for exploring the region. Transfers to and from Chalais train station are included. Remember to budget for those weekends exploring.

French Lessons: Every Friday morning French lessons are provided by our local French and English speaking teachers working on the project or conversational skills needed to communicate with the locals people - all levels are catered for.

Work materials and supplies: All work materials are provided.

Internet and phone reception: There is free internet access for laptops, tablets and other devices. You may also use the telephone to call home but please keep calls to a minimum as broadband in Brossac is not always free.

Advice and training: If there is something in particular that you would like to learn during your stay and feel that we could advise or train you then please ask.

Volunteers' Certificate: At the end of your stay you will receive a volunteers' certificate and a reference letter of participation - essential for your CV or Resumé.
